The brief was to turn a cluttered and unwelcoming space into an all year round family extension of the home for playing, dining and relaxing.
Low maintenance and highly durable porcelain paving and artificial grass were chosen to enable the garden to be used in all weathers throughout the year.
The demolished out house brickwork was retained as the only original feature with a living wall added. Silicone rendered planters with limited plant variety gives a uniformity and balance to the garden, while the large bench and sunken fire pit at the rear provides a space for entertaining guests. Slat fencing and lighting provide a backdrop which is both contemporary, private and easy to maintain.
